ResorTime has been helping resorts around the world sell open inventory online since 1999. Over the years, competition for online travel booking has grown intense to say the least. So, in 2013, ResorTime embarked on a rebrand and rejuvenation journey. Gone were the days of offering value through low-price booking opportunities. In were the days of a more experiential booking journey.
ResorTime’s unique structure enables the company to offer rates at premiere resorts that are available nowhere else. While this is a huge value-add, we wanted to help ResorTime differentiate in a more authentic way by continuing to offer affordable rates while promoting the vacation experience even more so.
Together, Elevator and Grand Pacific Resorts introduced an online booking concept that encouraged people to explore, read and become inspired before choosing where to book. The end result is a website full of personal stories about unique experiences meant to inspire would-be travelers. The experience is reminiscent of an old-fashioned travel planning experience, where you might visit a travel agent to hear of their personal experiences and review brochures of multiple destinations while sitting in their office.
While room reservations are ResorTime’s #1 goal, visitors to the site are not expected to know where they want to go like they are on other travel sites. ResorTime.com is experiencing a significant increase in site engagement, and of course, hotel room reservations.
